Re: Transmission Temp & Vacuum gauge install
Hi Kentuckian, I had one more question for you, I didn't know if this thread was the best place, but I think it is. Do you have more information on the transmission oil cooler you installed? And any pictures of how you installed it? We're currently in Mexico going through the mountains, and while th...

Re: Transmission Temp & Vacuum gauge install
Thanks for the photo. The guage arrived today, so I'll install it this afternoon. It didn't come with much information, which is a little intimidating but it should be straightforward.

Re: Transmission Temp & Vacuum gauge install
Hi Kentuckian, could you please take a picture of where the temp reader attaches to the transmission pan? Thanks.

Re: Transmission Temp & Vacuum gauge install
We just ordered the transmission temp gauge, as we had a problem when driving in the mountains. Looking forward to installing it myself, we also have a 1993 so hopefully the install should be pretty straightforward.

Re: ATF spew, and what to do?
I know this is an old thread, but I think it's important for people to know. We just had our transmission spew everywhere while coming over a pass on Colorado. We pushed the van too hard. We made it to a mechanics, after the van cooled for an hour we put in some new ATF and no problem. Our mechanic ...

Re: Security
As we will be driving though Central and South America we have thought about security a bit. Our number one concern was belongings being stolen from the van, rather than the actual van itself. We got an alarm installed, with keyless entry, which is just great to have. We also installed a safe bolted...

Re: External propane hook-up
Hi Dennis, thanks for the reply. Cooking outside has been great, although we did have a couple of teething problems with the set up, it's working perfectly now. We haven't installed an evaporation cooler. We did install a second fantastic fan, where the AC was taken out, but that's it on the cool fr...

Re: External propane hook-up
We're finally on the road and we've been using the stove for breakfast. It's been working brilliantly. Melissa wrote an entry in our blog about the install: https://parkthehouse.com/2017/03/22/accommodating-the-outdoor-camping-stove/ Hope someone finds out useful, we love cooking outside. Edd. Window leaks service bulletin
Hello! Well, after months of reading posts about water making its way into the top bunk area, we realized it had finally happened to us. We noticed the damp today while doing some spring cleaning under the mattress. I dreaded looking for the cause of the the brown water marks, but one thing led to a...

Complete furnace system
*** sold *** $120 1993 Hyrdroflame furnace. We've just removed the original furnace from our 1993 as we bought a catalytic heater instead, and we added some storage space. The furnace was in good condition and worked fine when we removed it. The whole set is for sale, the thermostat, the remote swit...

Re: Refrigerator Spare Parts?
Ok, So we phoned Dometic, and they do actually sell spare parts. The guy told me to search Ebay, etc. as they might be a little cheaper. He told me to remove all the spaces, - and / from the part number. Which we did, and then loads of spares came up! We just got the piece from a seller on Ebay. So ...

Re: Refrigerator Spare Parts?
Hi 190-b-651, Yeah we getting ready for the SA trip! The fridge itself works great, so we don't want to replace it. The part we need is a tiny piece of plastic that holds a spring in place. It helps keeps the freezer door shut. So it's nothing major, but it could get annoying if it keeps opening. We...

Refrigerator Spare Parts?
Hi everyone, I need to get a couple of spare parts for our Dometic RM2310 fridge, from our 1993 B190. I have the manual with me, and all the part numbers, but I can't find anywhere online that supplies parts, and the Dometic website don't do parts. The part itself makes up a spring mechanism, so qui...

Re: Adding an extra spare wheel
Hi, I thought about the roof as well, but im going to have solar panels up there, so there won't be any room. Otherwise that would have been a great place. I also thought about a cargo hitch, as his could also add some much needed storage, however I'm too worried about people stealing things from it...
