Re: Water pump just runs and runs....
I sometimes store stuff in the bathroom and shower. A few times those items have hit the faucets and the water runs and soaks everything. I've shut off those valves but there must have been air in the lines from when I drained them last fall. My rig is so buffed out right now, I can't wait to get on...

Re: Water pump just runs and runs....
Thanks.
It was air in the lines. I opened the bathroom faucets and shower and air poured out of them. I shut them off and the pump stopped a few minutes later. I've cleaned that filter also.
People really do like the old rigs, I get comments all the time about how nice mine is.

Water pump just runs and runs....
My fresh water tank is less than half full and I've used the rig only once this year, two weeks ago. Just now, I needed water so I started up the pump and it just ran and ran. I got a fair bit of pressure, not the best I've ever had. I'm wondering if I have a leak or something. I don't remember the ...

Re: Replacement range vent
I bought the one shown in a previous pic. It was a fair bit larger than the existing hole but nothing a Skil saw couldn't handle! Additionally, on my rig, the vent is right at a curved area. I did the best I could filling the spaces with rubber gasket material and then made the whole thing weather t...

Re: Replacement range vent
The hole for the vent in my 97 is very small. The whole rig seems like an afterthought. The hinge for the flap was a piece of duct tape! I removed that one and the flap and ordered the Heng version. It's quite a bit bigger and I'll have to enlarge the hole but it won't be any real big deal. I'm pret...

Re: Replacing the carpet
Yeah, that's what I'm going to do, hard floor and carpet runner. That makes way more sense.

Re: Replacing the carpet
I'm going to go with a shorter rug and a more varied, brown and black pattern. I was thinking of hard flooring but I really do like the feel of warm on my feet in the morning. On second thought though, hard flooring and a throw rug would certainly make it easy to maintain and clean.... Hmmm....hmmm....

Re: Replacing the carpet
I stopped by the local carpet shop today and pretty much got lined out on how to do it.
I'll need a dry day to do the job though. Here in Oregon, in winter, that might be a while!

Replacing the carpet
I'm thinking of doing it, the carpet color is so light that every spec of dirt shows up.
Rip it out, clean up the floor a bit, glue down the pad, glue down the rug onto that?

Re: Installing Solar Panels
I'll run down the total list when I get home but I got it all, and a lot of good advice and instruction, from AM Solar, here in Oregon. As I was researching solar I came across the name of a guy I know, Lew Farber. He is a well known and respected solar system designer and installer. We met and disc...

Re: Installing Solar Panels
Oh no, "really know what you're doing" is not quite accurate. It's more like I've found the people who really know who can tell me what to do! Yesterday I ran 14/2 from the inverter but today, as I was hooking it, I noticed the manual said to use 12/2. I called a buddy and he suggested goi...
