Re: Panicking about mold

Me too. Me too.im cutting carpet along the cabinets but you are right that carpets underneath the cabinets and the fridge needs to come out too. I'm not particularly handy about these things (pulling the woman card). And I'm perplexed where the cabinetry is secured to the floor. It is it? I' haven'...

Re: Seal around the perimeter of the top

My '94 has the same blue trim piece. Fortunately, it hasn't separated anywhere but in the rear of the bubble.

Looks like a neat idea, of course here in AZ, they would probably melt into my tires ;-) lol!

I have been in Houston for 37 years; before that beautiful NJ. Where did you live in TX?
I grew up in Cypress (Cy-Fair), NW of Houston, ...then lived in Austin for 7+ years or so for college (LOL), ...then The Woodlands before I moved to Arizona.

Re: New Owner from TX

First, find out if you already have a rear sway bar. If not, the part number is (Hellwig #7183), it's $200.00 on Amazon. I installed my own but it shouldn't cost too much to have someone do it. You should already have a front sway bar on the van. If not, the part # is Hellwig #7604, also $200.00. Th...

Also, the "sway" can be minimized with heavy duty shocks, and easily installed sway bars.

Make sure you have the seller demonstrate that everything is working. If not have them discount the price accordingly.

Re: Gasoline smell

Update: I'm so happy to report I found the problem. I took the cover off the generator and started it from the outside to see if I could see anything...and sure enough the little black fuel line had separated itself from the other end which was right there in front. So, I just put back in place and...

Re: Gasoline smell

I had a strong smell of gasoline inside and outside the van that turned out to be just a crack in the filler neck hose. It was hard to see and I found it using my cell phone camera. I changed it and haven't had the problem since. I only mention it because I was sure it had to be somewhere else arou...

Re: New Owners--need some help

Hi, Tucsonan. Thanks for the info. I've got a question. Our generator is under the seat of our dinette. Would we have to move it in order to fit the jack knife sofa in? Yes, I believe your '92 floorplan is exactly the same as my '94. The sofa support box should fit around the generator box. Oops, I...

Re: New Owners--need some help

Hi, Everyone. My husband and I just bought a 1992 Airstream B190 last weekend. I am so excited! We both plan on retiring in May and using the B190 to travel and see all those places on our bucket list. I would like to ask for help with one thing. First, you should know that mine has a dinette inste...
