Hi Ed,
In the summer in Arizona my '94 7.5L can run hot. I replace the 195 degree thermostat with a 160 degree one.

Re: Adding an extra spare wheel
Maybe a hitch mounted cargo carrier? I have also heard of folks adding a trailer hitch to the front of the van to mount a cargo carrier.

Re: Stabilizer Bars
Thanks for the post! I'm new to the site and this is exactly why I wanted to join. Our B is exactly what we were looking for minus the feeling of death once we hit 55. If a Semi passes us, it's like being on a small boat on the ocean. The PO told us he had new bushings and sway bar put on, but I'm ...

Just noticed you have a 1990 model. I hope some of my '94 advice still helps you!

Re: Tips for spark plug removal?!?
Oh, I did not have to remove anything to change the plugs on my '94 460. The passenger seat is an easy removal if you don't have any electric adjustments. I remove it everytime I need to get at something not directly in front of me.

Re: Tips for spark plug removal?!?
Ok - getting ready to undertake the tune-up on the beast. 3 of these plugs look quite difficult to get to! This is my first foray into this experience - not just on the van, but in general - so any tips are appreciated! Most forward on driver's side looks like it can be gotten to from under the hoo...

Re: Paneling behind sofa
Jim, I need to remove my stripes as well, ...they are pretty faded and cracked. I was going to order a wheel a year or so ago, but got caught up in another one of my unfinished projects. I have heard that the wheel can produce smearing of the glue under the stripes making for one heck of a clean-up ...

Re: Paneling behind sofa
I am the proud new owner of a '96 B190. The van has only 56k miles on it and is in very good mechanical condition. I have just finished performing most all of the mechanical maintenance on it that you would expect to do on a vehicle that is 20 years old. I'm now turning my attention to the cosmetic...

There are some posts about this, I think they are in the engine/drivetrain forum. Good Luck!

Re: Tire experiment - LT265/70R16E
I haven't tried the higher pressure test, but it's not surprising that overinflated tires would feel bad on the road - the center of the tread bulges outward a bit, so your contact patch with the road would be smaller. That's why the recommended inflation pressure is to what the manufacturer of the...

Tire experiment - LT265/70R16E
I recently replaced my rear tires with LT265/70R16E's. The idea was to increase the load range while keeping the same diameter of the 245/75R16E tires. If I'm happy with them, I will eventually replace the fronts with them and hopefully avoid trimming the fiberglass skirts that upgrading to 265/75R1...
