Re: 1995 B190 Full restoration

Ah ok yea a resealing will definitely help and hopefully fix ya prob.....I used Walmart fiberglass and fiberglass resin for my repairs.. my fridge has a vent on the side of the van..it’s above the fridge access panel I've read having it on the side doesn't work very well but you can always add a fa...

Re: Scroll To View Photos

Well, I may have broken it again. The issue is that if someone uploads a really large file, it destroys the layout (and you can't see the image anyway). I've set the max-width to 750 pixels, so anything wider than that will be resized down. OK, I will adjust my picture sizes accordingly. It appears...

Re: 1995 B190 Full restoration

Tdashmike...the wood forward of my A/C was rotten from a leak in the pre-wiring for solar...they had a cover on it but it got into those holes and leaked right in....here’s pics of it...if you have that pre-wiring that might be where it came from.. Thanks Kajun! The leaking side on mine is actually...

Re: 1995 B190 Full restoration

Tdashmike....yes there is sagging around both holes but I don’t see a way to fix it now with all wood in place...hopefully the new silicone roof prevents any seepage .. Thanks Judith! Alil at a time! Kajun, do you have any ideas on where my leak could be coming from? I thought it was because the AC...

Re: Air Conditioner Capacitor

Well, it looks like it still won’t work on the colder settings. I think I’ll just leave it as t is for now, the only thing left to try is the Supco SPP6E which has a potential relay that resets immediately. With the SPP6 I have now it takes a longer time to reset which given that the compressor turn...

The Airstream trailers have drains, but I didn't know any B190s did. My A/C condensate just runs down the side.
No, they just come out of the AC unit onto the roof. I had to clear the foam from the AC unit drain outlet.

Also check Amazon and Advanced Auto. Advanced Auto usually has 10~20% off coupons codes you can use.

Re: 1998 Airstream B190

While replacing the AC capacitors, I found that water is pooling up around the AC unit due to the fiberglass sagging over time, at least that's what I think it is. One of the previous owners had filled in the perimeter of the AC unit with spray foam insulation. I guess he didn't know the drains were...

Re: Air Conditioner Capacitor

So I was running the AC yesterday but I ran out of gas so I can't tell you if the start cap fixed my issue. Will try to test it out tonight.

Re: Air Conditioner Capacitor

Great news that your new capacitor has you up and running! Glad you got buy with the cheaper solution! As far as sealants... I have taken to using "3M Marine Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure 5200" for anything on the exterior. It is of the polyurethane family of sealants, sticks very well, stay...

Re: Scroll To View Photos

Skater, Can you make the height 615 px or 650 px? I uploaded standard 800x600 px pictures but the scroll bar is still there, it's just off by a little bit. See my AC cap topic. Thanks! Done. I changed it to 650 px. You may need to do a shift+reload for it to take effect, but the pictures are displa...

Re: 1995 B190 Full restoration

Looking good.

One problem I'm seeing with my AC unit is that the fiberglass around it has sagged over time so when it rains there is a pool of water around the AC unit.

Re: Refer. Replace or Fix?

Okay, did that. It didn’t look too dirty. Thanks for all your help tdashmike! If it's not working on elec then you might have an issue. The only other thing to check is if the bottom and top vents behind the fridge are clear and can have good airflow. You can also measure the resistance of the 120V...

Well, they're good until the sun hits the side of the camper...that's when things got ugly.
Oh I see. Maybe we could negotiate a group buy of 3 units!

Re: Refer. Replace or Fix?

Before the burner? I have a photo and tried to post it but it was giant. I’m on my phone with no way to make it smaller. The burner was bigger than a pencil. The flame came out of slots on the tube, maybe a half inch long. The burner was sideways to the refer and easily accessible. The orifice is b...
