Why are you not using it on propane while your on the road....? Many people do, but others worry about the the possibility of leaking propane if there was an accident. For me, if I'm running the generator anyway, I'll switch the fridge to 110 volt power, since the generator is big enough to run our...

I did see that page but didn't know what to make of it. I'm guessing that what we have is not a deep cycle battery. Do you have a recommendation on which one to use as the house battery? The problem is that (as mentioned in other threads in this forum) our electrical system, when plugged into 120 v...

One other thought. We did stop at a rest area and had lunch. Total stop time was probably about 30 minutes. If the refrigerator was on 12V, would it have drained the battery that quickly? Wait, I just realized - do you actually have a deep cycle battery? The one you described sounds like a regular ...

In theory, the 12V fridge should not be running off the battery directly; it should only be running when the engine is running (because it will kill the battery - it draws 10 amps in 12 volt mode). I haven't actually verified that's how it's wired, and based on some other wiring things I've seen in ...

Water heater plastic drain plug...

Okay, mine cracked over the weekend - I mean, it actually developed a small hole between the threads. No amount of pipe thread could stop the leak. Moreover I discovered that because of that I wasn't able to pressurize the water system (even relatively low pressure with the pump), which meant that I...

Well, got the new tire on - the generator exhaust makes that one slightly harder to do, by the way, but it's not too bad. Getting a tire up on the spare tire carrier, though... WOW that's hard. It took me a while and I managed to cut myself nicely, in addition to pinching my fingers a couple times. ...

update.... Don't buy these aftermarket hubcaps on eBay from nationwidehubcaps...they are Taiwan garbage Spend a little more and buy original OEM Ford caps.... Personally I don't think they're that bad. The eBay ad did clearly state they were reproductions, not originals, so I wasn't surprised to se...

I'm with you on taking it on an Onan service dealer. There may be one closer to you, but I can tell you that there's one by BWI airport, which is where I had mine replaced. They seemed pretty decent. It was also kind of funny seeing my B-van dwarfed by full-size tractors, busses, and a few large Cl...

Professional help is sounding better and better.... It's expensive. What year is your camper (and thus generator)? I had two shops look at mine, and they both told me that they'd done everything they could without removing it. They said that the problem could be one of several things and could be u...
