Re: Subfloor replacement?
Ok - to follow up: I sent an email to AIrstream about the brake light. The part number is 510809. You can order from any Airstream dealer. Need to call on monday... As for the floor - what I've found is strips of a hard board - Luann? - running lengthwise under the wood in the grooves of the van flo...

Re: What material is shower surround? Anyone painted it?
I just picked up a can of Krylon Fusion to try out, so that's wonderful news!
Ok. Clean and prep and prep and clean. This will be interesting!

Re: Rain water seeping under refrigerator.
I'm currently redoing the back of my van due to a leak from the brake light above the back doors. Looking for extended damage, I found that the shelf under the fridge was COMPLETELY destroyed. It doesn't look like that water made it to the floor, so I don't think that contributed to my problem, but ...

What material is shower surround? Anyone painted it?
What material is the surround above the shower (the corner pieces) - is that plastic?
Would like to paint it a nice clean shiny white... anyone try this yet? What did you use?

Subfloor replacement?
Has anyone replaced the subfloor in the B190? What started as a replacement tub has developed into a backend redesign. It appears the brake light above the back doors was not sealed - all the wood around the back (underneath the vinyl shower walls) and the back closet were waterlogged. That all came...

Re: A cover?
I've wondered about this myself. I've seen RV covers available pretty much everywhere - not too expensive, and I've seen some have a side access panel for getting in and out of the RV without taking the cover off. "Camping World" has a pretty good selection to look at. http://www.campingwo...

*excessive* vibration
When I bought my '90 van, I was told that the generator had excessive vibration. "You wouldn't be able to sit on the couch while it's running". They weren't kidding! Noise level isn't the issue - the entire cabin shakes, almost violently. Run it for 5 mins and your feet will vibrate for 15...

Re: Alternator Fusible Link gauge - help?!!?
Just an update for anyone running into this same problem down the line... I wasn't able to get any definitive information. Went to the local Ford dealership - even they don't have records going back that far! Talking to a knowledgeable individual at Autozone, I decided to try a 16ga fusible link (he...

Alternator Fusible Link gauge - help?!!?
I've just recently purchased a 1990 B190. There's a 30amp blade fuse under the hood that keeps popping - looks like it's inline with the alternator cable, and is supposed to be a fusible link instead of a fuse. From what I'm reading about fusible links, they're color coded for their gauge. Wondering...

Orlando FL B190!
Just picked up a 1990 B190 in GREAT condition. Very little inside cleanup, could definitely use a paint job, but the engine is sound. Bought in Mississippi and took it on an 800mile trek to Orlando with a (very cold!) evening at Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama. Looking forward to hooking up a mot...
