Re: B190 database

This makes me wonder - Jennifer's 1989 has no Airstream number on it; it may have been made at the Okanagan factory with Airstream logos I'd be interested in comparing her numbers from the Okanagan build sheet hanging in the closet, with mine. Maybe there is something to be learned. In 1989, the B1...

Re: B190 database

We have a new low score! Last Chance, a new member, just picked up a 1989 with the sequence number 300008! This makes me wonder - Jennifer's 1989 has no Airstream number on it; it may have been made at the Okanagan factory with Airstream logos (there's some things like better plumbing fittings that...

Re: Furnace removal?

Besides the gas line, there will be some electrical. I pulled my furnace when I did the new interior in ours. My advice to you is take multiple photos of anything and everything. Photograph how it is connected to the gas line, floor, even video. Take measurements so it goes right back in the same sp...

Where did it crack? Did the two rims both crack in the same place?

Re: Cooling

I experienced some major cooling issues when towing over Snoqualmie Pass to Spokane (I only mention the pass name because I see you are from the PNW). I looked at trying to find some new and improved radiator, without success. Then I went into a local radiator shop (here in Bellingham) and asked for...

Re: Fuel mileage

How do you place a price on 'fun'? We bought our 30 year old camper (42,000 miles) explicitly for the race track. Our first couple years racing, we stayed at hotels and commuted back and forth, but we were always leaving while the evening activities were still in full swing. Once we got the camper, ...

Re: Calculating combined towing capacity

I'm towing about 4,000 pounds with my '89 351 cu. It was worthless until I enlarged the exhaust from the manifold back. Now, with most hills, I don't lose any speed, and we have plenty of hills!

Fiberglass running board damaged

When I first pulled my B190 out of the barn it sat in for many years, I traveled only a few miles before the passenger rear tire unwrapped, just like a semi truck retread. The rubber slapped my running board and caused damage to both the running board and rear quarter panel. This winter, its time to...

Re: Loft sleeping for two adults

I'm 6'0" and my wife is 5'2" and it works well. We are both in our early 60's so we purchased a custom mattress which makes all the difference in the world for us.

Re: Bye, bye sewer hose door

"Abie Sea", I've got a little more work to do this weekend before I post any more photos. However, I will say, in the storage compartment below the shower seat, I have a plastic container holding a new 15' sewer hose and gloves, I've got my fresh water hose, and a standard tool box tucked ...

Bye, bye sewer hose door

The stock door drove me crazy. Never stays shut and only holds a hose so short that I have to drive on the curb at rest stops. Well, that all changed. today...Here is a before and after. It really opened up the storage area too! I'll do the paint this fall/winter when I have other areas to be addres...

A third photo. Photos #2 and #3 need to be turned up to see how the frame sits.

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?

MarkP requested some more photos and I don't know how to attach them to a private message. He was curious about the frame and if it can be modified/removed. To me, it seems all one piece and other than the modification I made to fit around the wheel well, I am not sure what would be in store. Here a...
