Re: Hello all!

Welcome from the great PNW. This group has been very willing to share and have been a great help in getting us to where we are.

Re: Replacing Sofa/ Bed

Check out this thread I was involved in when I installed my new couch. Hopefully it gives you some more information.

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?

They are holding up very well. We purchased them in May of 2017 and are just as pleased as then. We 'bit the bullet' when we bought them, but we would do it again.

Re: New to Me 1993 B190

You say you are traveling to the NW. Well, here in the PNW, as far NW as you can get in the contiguous USA, we don't get too hot and we don't get too cold. I've run my AC a total of once in the past three years (because of temperature but I do run it every year for maintenance), and turn my heater o...

Re: 1989 in La Vanata, Baja Sur - $7,900

Cabinetry is updated with what appears to be solid wood, whereas the original had veneer. Overhead cabinets are solid, whereas original had glass. Captain chairs are newer, as is the couch. Its also interesting to me that there is a headliner overhead, and the walls of the overhead bunk have been co...

Re: 1989 in La Vanata, Baja Sur - $7,900

That's an interesting one, but I don't get it. It's got a much newer interior but the top is from the '89 or earlier Okonogan. Something is funny with this one.

Re: 1989 in Maryland or Los Angeles

Interesting, almost identical to mine. Couch and overhead cabinets are different. I am guessing this one was from Jackson Center, not built by Okanagan (1st year) because of the script and the colors. Also, this is the first 'early-year dinette I have seen.

Re: Towing a Trailer

We tow an open trailer with our toys. We've only got the 350 engine but have traveled several passes here in WA State. Sometimes we have to slow down a bit, but it's not a race van, so we save our hurrying for the race track. As far as breaking, we installed trailer brakes (<$100), and I will never ...

Re: Order to install panels in bunk area

I'm confused (which is not uncommon). When one says they have pulled the 'panels', I assume some sort of wood product which is covering the interior? My '89 has wood paneling on the sidewalls but the interior of the bunk area is glazed fiberglass. You're not recreating the fiberglass walls, are you?

Re: Generator Replacement

We decided to go with the Champion 100261 -3100 Watt (3400 max). It came with a wireless remote which works well (starts and shuts down) from inside the rig. Furthermore, it either rides on the trailer if we are racing, or fits on the rear trailer hitch platform with plenty of room for other essenti...

Re: Custom bathroom/1997+ insert?

I'd love to have a 'functioning' shower, but it just doesn't seem possible, as this minimal area currently doubles as our closet. Furthermore, due to the storage limitations regarding fresh, and gray water, we are looking at other options like an outside shower (my wife just shakes her head), or ins...
