For what it's worth, mine has to go through a sniff test every two years, and it always passes with flying colors. This is under Maryland and Virginia's tests.

I'll clean up this thread tonight by moving the discussion to a separate thread. :)

With only a 1000 or so of them made over 10 years, and some of those in junkyards already, the remaining ones are going to be spread out pretty far. :)

It is the second one I have seen with a 351, I feel if your not towing a house it is a viable way to get some better mileage. nothin wrong with the 351 for power, the torque is not like the 460 but the gas consumption could be less. It is an OD tranny... On the upside if you ever had to pull the mo...

Yeah, I don't know the price on the C6, but the Jasper reman E4OD is like $2400 plus installation. Why would the toilet smell, though? A good cleaning of the tank should solve that problem... I wonder if they tried and it didn't work or something. Replacing the tanks on one of these would scare me. ...

The pieces you'd need are all standard Ford parts, too - nothing RV or Airstream specific. Definitely a potential repair as long as there isn't major frame damage or something like that.

most of my showering will be at the gym or at the marina where i keep my boat. not sure i understand the design idea on making the upper bunk smaller on the newer models though. doesn't sound like a good sleeping area for someone 6 feet tall. how long is couch? on the units where tire is not mounte...

Re: A Good Year

Personally I like Thunderbird from 02 but will settle for Pabst 2011  Nice. For the question about which year is best, I don't think there's a "best" year. For example, my biggest gripe with mine (a '91) is the size of the bathroom; the shower is nearly unusable, and there's not muc...

bump for any full timers out there? maybe i'm posting in the wrong section? Nah, this is fine. I think none of our members do that. There was a couple that spent over a year living in their B190 while touring North, South, and Central America. That links to an interview I did with them, and there's...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone. Hope your holidays are going well. Anyone else out in their B190s this holiday? We are staying in ours. Outside temperature: 32 at the moment. It was in the low 20s last night, and is supposed to be similar tonight! But it's toasty warm inside as long as the furnace works ...

I'd also check out Ford Trucks Enthusiasts - lots of people there have a ton of experience with the 460, so you might get some good ideas.
