My camper is winterized right now or I'd take the hose off mine and look.

By the way, I went to grad school at UGA, and one of my coworkers is from Sylvester. :) It's not warm here like it is there! :)

Alaskan just replaced his water heater, that's why it's so clean. :) Mine is rustier, too, and that's normal. (Totally unrelated thing that just occurred to me: Ever see the Simpsons episode where Homer becomes Poochy? "Cue the rusty chainsaw." *brrrrr* "RUSTIER!" *BRRRRR*) I wou...

Oooh, I think I see what you mean. I don't think mine leaks there at all, even when I have the nozzle turned off. Can you tell exactly where it's leaking from (the threads or where the threads connect to the hose)? If it's the threads I'd be tempted to try some teflon tape. If it's the hose, you may...

Hi, Kyle. I split this into a separate thread to make it easier to see what's happening. Shore power should be charging the battery, so I would check the following things: 1. First, make sure the battery is actually connected to the converter. Some people install disconnect switches to prevent the b...

These water heaters can be very noisy with a flame that seems unstable at the same time. Its usually caused by the air intake being out of adjustment... Look in this picture below, about center you'll see a small screw, loosen the screw and gently slide that aluminum slider left or right to either ...

Because there were so few B-Vans made by Airstream, good ones for sale seem to be rare. FYI on this - Airstream Forums had two listed yesterday - one was a '91 that appeared to be in excellent shape, the other was a '93 (I think). They're in the classifieds section, in the appropriate motorhome yea...

Do you mean the shutoff by the sprayer, or the faucet itself? The shutoff by the sprayer will leak some. Or at least every one I've ever used does, perhaps they were all messed up. :) Worse they seem to leak only cold water, so when you turn it back on you get a nice blast of hot. Don't ask me how i...

Perhaps a fan in outside area would allow 12 volt system to do a better job? Sure, I can post some pics. However, I'm not sure how much the fan would help while on the road, because I think there'd already be impressive airflow through there. I've never tried to run it on the road but there's no re...

I do something similar but without being able to see it from the driver's seat. :) I bought an indoor/outdoor thermometer, one that has the wire for the outdoor sensor. The outdoor sensor is in the freezer, and I keep the rest of the thermometer in the fridge, so I can see what the temperature is in...

I wonder what that is above the couch, on the divider wall, in the last picture...

Looks like a pretty clean rig. Though I wonder if the seat covers are on there because the fabric parts of the seats are as bad as mine are.

Re: Awnings....type? mount on fiberglass or van?? favorites?

Hi! I'm a newbie... I want to add an awning but am getting overwhelmed with info from RV places & info "online." I'm not thrilled to attach anything to the fiberglass "Airsteam" portion..... I think I prefer on the van part but clearance is tight obviously.... Then there's &...
