Re: 1990 Airstream Camper Van
This look much like my 89 version on the outside but with a slightly different interior. the stove is two burner and shelves undeerneath rather than 4 burners with an oven, and there is an extra drawer next to the sink under the counter. Good luck on the test run.

Re: Fuel Selector Switch....
I have been checking all around the internet to gain more information on this problem. The more likely situation even with the fuel transfer, it that the fuel selector switch is not sending the return flow to the right tank. If this is the case, then there is no need for a check valve in the tank. T...

Re: Fuel Selector Switch....
I was commenting on this note in Alaskan's original post. "By-the-way, the switch at the base of your dash just switches between the tank gauges, it has nothing at all to do with the selector switch..." I have had the same experience of switching from the front tank when the engine is stal...

Re: Fuel Selector Switch....
I think I may be having the same problem. My front tank seems to be associated with the stalling after some driving and normally under stress or warm. While the back tank does not over fill when the engine seems fuel starved, It could be this selector valve. I talked to some knowledgeable folks that...

Re: front engine noise
We had a concerning noise from the engine front in a 1989 and managed to find an honest shop in Coos Bay. It was a problem with the serpentine belt. It had been replaced by the wrong belt and there was very little scope to increase the tension. Stretching the limit it was able to stop the noise abou...

Odd stalling sympton
WE just came back from a long trip back and forth across the Rockies from Kicking Horse to Glacier. This was the first trip after replacing the fuel pump in the front tank of an 89 b190. The pump unit was replaced to correct an problem with stalling under load and usually only when the front tank wa...

Re: What Did You Get For Your B190 Today?
You have me thinking about the converter upgrade, as I have experienced some difficulty in charging the house battery from the AC.

Re: PCM/ECM/ECU???? Same thing?
I am interested in your diagnosis of hiccups and stutters. I have an 89 and have encountered similar problems. One response I got was to investigate the fuel pump which is in the tank and occasionally over heats and that creates problems. This fits with my experience that when I switch to the back t...

Introduction
Greetings from Lynden Washington: We became the proud owners of a 1989 B190 several years ago because my wife was not comfortable with the 80 Vanagon camper. Some comment about lack of dependability and a lower level of comfort. I have always been interested in seeing the country at ground level. Be...

Bed lights and house battery fuse
I have an 89 B190 and there are several issues I am trying to understand The lights at the head of the overhead bed are not working. I have heard mention of a switch that operated only those lights in the area of the cabinet and the bed on the driver's side. There is a reading light in that location...
