Re: Replacement Sink?!?

Yep - bad post on my part!!! I have a 1990 - single bowl sink. I forgot the later models came with a double sink! How do you like that?!? The single bowl is too small for even a large frying pan (and the faucet doesn't move, making it a game to clean most anything!), so water goes everywhere - to th...

Re: What did you do to you B today ? Continuous

I had to remove all the striping when I had mine painted - I used a heat gun and a plastic scraper! The heat gun definitely helps to loosen it, but too much heat and it almost liquefies. Maybe try a little of that with your wheel?!?

Re: Accessing water pump

I have a '90 - the water pump is next to the water heater - which is under the "bump" in the closet. So, yes, you need to disassemble the closet. The pumps do go bad... which is a bummer... but they're not too expensive or difficult to replace (once you get to it). I replaced mine with an ...

Re: Water Pump Leak & sub-flour

FWIW - Ive read that the piping used in the vans was stuff used in houses during the 80s, and is known to breakdown. (Which is why i changed everything to PEX when i had the van apart) Not exactly fun, but wasnt difficult either. Hopefully not your issue! But figured id throw that out there as somet...

Re: Generator Quits Running

Fumes inside is not good... if all the windows are closed, I'd think it'd have to be a bad seal on the generator compartment. Only other suspect opening is where the 30A plug comes out of the vehicle. On mine, it's pretty much above the gennie muffler. As for the generator - possibly the internal fu...

Re: Gps

I just had mine painted in March (the body - I did the top myself using marine paint - paint and supplies probably ran around $300... I stopped keeping track...!) I went to a few places - got quotes everywhere from $2500 to $4000 (my paint was in REEEEALLY bad shape). I eventually found a guy who ba...

Re: Odd stalling sympton

I'll add to the previous post - I had a problem with the rear tank pump as well. When I took down the tank to replace the pump, I found the inside of the tank had some pretty widespread rust. I used POR15 tank sealer on that, replaced the pump, and she's been great every since! Been a year or two no...

Hurricane tips?!?!

Ok B190 buddies. Has anyone had their B go through a hurricane?!? I'm sitting here in Orlando, and have my B all prepped to live out of after the storm passes, as long as the B survives! It's going to be outside, parked alongside the house, facing north (so the wind comes up the back - dont want the...

Re: New member

Honestly, I'm going to say the $9.5k isn't necessarily a bad price I have a '90 that I bought for $7500 a little over 3yrs ago. A good price! The paint was in really bad shape, but ultimately that didn't matter - it drove well and the interior was in good shape. Longs story short, a few months later...
