Re: ATF spew, and what to do?
Hi Ed, I was the original poster in this thread. I'm glad to hear you are back on the road again, and I hope that fresh ATF buys you some time. But eventually, you may have to do as I did and replace the transmission. Fingers crossed that you get lots of good miles before that day. -Keystone Sent fr...

Re: A couple questions about my new (to me) B190
Summit Ford in Silverthorne may be a good option to read your code. They have a guy who specializes in all the older Fords and successfully read codes on my 1994 b190 (OBD1). Better still, I had them do the indicated fix (O2 sensor that time...) and that did the trick. I'm surprised that the parts s...

Re: Meet up in Colorado anyone?
Back in 2014, I knew of several CO vans on this site. But I haven't heard a peep from them, so I assume they've either dropped off the forum or sold their vehicles. This thread you've started, a call for interest in a meet up, should shake the locals loose and maybe round up a few passers through. S...

Re: Meet up in Colorado anyone?
Hi Manzland, We had a nice CO gathering of 5 b190 vans back in September 2014 at the Whole Foods parking lot in Frisco with pics posted somewhere on this site. I'd like to join in the fun with my van if you organize it (assuming "girlz" are also allowed[emoji6]). Keystone, aka Cecile Sent ...

Thank you for posting this. Very helpful.
If you have other technical service bulletins for the b190, please post all of them!

Re: B190 database
I'm in. Just a thought about data to collect: how about a category called "major mods" or some such? Whereas most b190s are nearly stock, mine, for example, has a 6"lift and 4x4 conversion. Another that sold recently has two forward facing passenger seats and no jackknife sofa. Sent f...

Re: Propane system mystery
Hi all. Here's an update on my propane system's cold weather operation. I've continued to have problems in near- and sub-zero temps with propane not flowing. Maddening! I finally found a propane technician who diagnosed the problem: water in my propane tank. He added methanol to the tank by first pu...

Re: Miles left until total failure of 4E0D?
I've been very happy with the Jasper transmission we put in our van. And, if you can make it back to Denver on your way home, I recommend Cliff's, a specialty transmission mechanic in Commerce City. We had lots of warning (maybe 5000 miles) of impending failure before the original transmission final...

Re: Check Engine light
If the check engine light is coming on, it should be throwing a code number that can be seen with the OBD1 diagnostic system (because you have a pre-1996 engine). The code number will correlate to a cryptic diagnostic phrase like "332 EGR Value not opening". A lot of mechanics are unfamili...
