Well, I've finished this and re-hung the door. I wasn't able to find paint to match the metal frame, so I put some Rust-Oleum almond color on for now (after sanding off the rust), and once it warms up this summer I'll paint the entire metal frame. The new gasket went on very smoothly and doesn't see...

I was sort of thinking about something like that, too, but I don't watch a lot of TV so it's not worth it for me (I usually don't even take the TV tuner for my laptop with me camping). But there's plenty of space up there if you aren't using the luggage rack - I'd probably mount it near the vent for...

It might work, I really don't know. Even if it's not specifically made for our awnings, you can probably make it work somehow.

Re: Comparison

BTW, I'm going to have to rewire or turn over the switch. The common sense up for AC down for MW does not apply... mine is backwards. Sorry. Sometimes it seems like the guys on the assembly line just did whatever occurred to them that day. Which may be the case - I'm sure they're building trailers ...

If you click on the model number, the page that comes up implies that you wouldn't want to use these on our campers - it says for campers over 30 ft. Odd. I would've thought our campers qualified as severe duty (it's not like they can put too much more weight on that rear axle!). I know others have ...

Re: Don't understand...

I am going to have to really look at this. The other Airstream (the motor home) was 30 amp and you could have the AC and the microwave both going at the same time... no switch like on the B190. Now, if you had the TV on too, it would probably pop the breaker. Is there a collection of wiring diagram...

Congratulations! I'm curious on the shock answer myself. I plan to just get some heavy-duty shocks, perhaps some RV shocks, for it, but I don't have specific brands in mind. I have a shop that I trust, so I plan to take it to them and explain the situation and see what they come up with. For tires, ...

Re: AIR CONDITONER LEAK

There are a couple of small cracks (approx 2"0 long from the screw holes) on the lower section of the cover. Do you think that may be the problem? I noticed someone else had asked a question about the A/C shroud or cover. Are the shrouds availble? The A/C unit is a Duo Therm. You can replace t...

Could the cover be cracked? I'd hope the shop that removed and repaired the gasket would've caught that, though... hmm...

For the computer problem, every one I've heard of has been a '94. There are plenty of '93s and '95s roaming around out there ( production numbers ) and no one has reported a similar problem with them. That doesn't mean it can't happen, though. I'm sure the smaller size will take getting used to. My ...

Fridge gasket replacement?

Has anyone done this? I decided to get one for mine, because I knew the bottom part of the gasket was leaking cold air. I figured this would help on those hot days when the fridge was struggling. I ordered a new gasket from Dometic a couple weeks ago and it arrived within a couple days. Tonight I to...

The item you describe does sound like the isolator. Here's what I'd suggest: either use a multimeter or get a clamp-on ammeter to see how much power is being drawn while the camper isn't being used (obviously it should be unplugged, with the engine off). Perhaps you have some parasitic draw that's r...
