Re: Replacement for waste tank roof vent
My 92 had an old ventline and the top came off. The current edition has a set screw that holds the cap on model V2049. If you scrape off the caulking you should see the mounting screws for the base. The mounting holes from the new model match the old one. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/17/8y5uzu4a....

Re: Weird engine hiccup still persists
I have the 351. Symptoms are a bit different with mine. It's as if you flipped a switch off and on once really fast, just a slight stutter. All the gauges remain working and there's no power loss, just a blip. It's happened ever since we bought it three years ago. I'll just live with it until it sto...

Re: What does that switch do?
Green is empty and red is full. Not sure how the holding tank sensors work. Any chance the wiring got switched when you took out the toilet?

Re: Weird engine hiccup still persists
Interested to see what the problem is. My 92 hiccups briefly about once an hour but runs smoothly despite the hiccup.

Re: Newbie ? about Fridge operation(I checked the other thrd
The switch on mine is a little finicky and the 120 needs to be centered for it to work so maybe it's as simple as that.

Re: Removing Stains on Dometic Awning
I use a household bathroom cleaner with bleach. Cleans nicely and gets rid of any mildew. I use a stiff brush and this seems to get out any minor staining. Awning is off white with blue stripes. Good luck!

Re: 1997 vs earlier models
Shower bath combo is nicer in later models. Spare tire outside frees up space but you can't use a fold up bike rack without a hitch extension. Ladder is convenient but unless you have a roof rack you don't really need much roof access. Nice to have the bigger engine although my 351 does the job. Jus...

Re: Walking on roof
Be gentle and don't stomp around. I've been up a few times usually on hands and knees cleaning and gel coating with no problem

Re: Sway Bar Installation.....
I agree about adding new shocks. The combination will help. Also the combo seems to stop a lot of the drift when driving. You're right about the big bumps. Not much you can do about that. New shocks will help with that a bit. I invested in a torque wrench (Pittsburg?) for about $20 on eBay though if...

A fine post Mike. Congrats on the upgrade. You should have plenty of power to stay off grid until you run out of water! Have a blast this summer.

Re: ladder replacement feet
My feet hurt every time I climbed up or down the ladder so I got some foam pipe insulation and slipped it over the ladder treads. Wrapped a piece of tape around each side to secure the foam. Happy feet!

Send some pics after your install. I've been using a UE Bluetooth boombox for the last year that's worked out great for camping but having only a cassette deck while driving is annoying. May as well have an eight track! Happy listening.

Re: Crushed Propane line
Should be flared. Compression fittings are (mostly) illegal for lp gas or gas lines and when legal have restrictions such as no vibration.
