Gel coat reconditioning in Denver or the Western Slope??

It seems as though I made a mistake in not having the roof of the H'airstream reconditioned in Florida where there are a million and one boat repair shops. When I lived in Colorado previously I took my Wakeboard boat to SW Performance and Calibre, does anyone know of a good shop with reasonable rate...

Re: Sell? Or part out?

I'm with Skater, post it over here and on www.ExpeditionPortal.com in the for sale section. Someone will scoop it up there are not that many of these to begin with and parting out is a PIA and you are looking at a very narrow market. On the other hand I am sure I can safe speak for the group and say...

Re: Engine problems....

Probably best to replace with a reman. or Find a 12 V cummins and do a proper engine swap. Sounds like a perfect candidate if all the RV bugs are worked out you will have a hella of a rig. Suppose you could swap it for the 7.3 idi and add a turbo but the cummins seems to be the swap of preference. G...

Re: Spare Tire Jack

Get yourself a 12 ton bottle jack and make sure you have a deep socket tire iron  it will save you a lot of grief, trust me!!! The bottle jack will stow nicely in the little cabinet under the fridge.

Re: Deleting Microwave to add a larger fridge

There are two possible options that should work size wise with slight modification (Norcold 510 and the Dometic RM2554) but what worries me is that they have top mounted controls not bottom mounted like the current fridge. The other issue is they are around $1100 before shipping 8O I can't justify t...

Re: Deleting Microwave to add a larger fridge

thanks for the input Cliff, I am really just looking to maximize space and utility. One way or another the Micro is coming out as it just takes up space. As far as a car cooler goes I would most likely just invest in a Yeti cooler that way I can use it on the River too :)

Deleting Microwave to add a larger fridge

Has anyone done this? We do not use the micro and a larger fridge seems appealing. Wondering if it is worth the expense or would a good yeti type cooler be a better option and just use the micro space as more storage?????? Thoughts, suggestions, comments???

Re: best way to get out of overhead bed

I am 6' 200lbs and sleep with my head to the rear of the RV so my feet are up by the window, getting out is a bit tricky when there is 2 up there but worth the extra effort 8O I do the sofa counter method getting up and reverse getting down, way easier than the ladder.

Re: How does the refer work?

you put it in a pipe and smoke it :D But to answer question, I ran my fridge on propane from Florida to Colorado and it worked great, I pre cooled it on 120 before we left and stuck a gallon jug of frozen water in to help out, worked great, as the water in the jug melted I had nice ice cold drinking...

Re: Anyone happy with pre-97 shower curtain?

Here is my brother in law enjoying a hill billy bath somewhere in The Ozarks, no shower curtain needed with the trailer or for the fact that we are deep in the Ozarks :) http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/c616bc8a9bfd5d0ffba32ced3601c235.jpg Sent by magic, I mean come on really, pictures thr...
