Re: Hello
Hello fellow proud B190 owners. Just registered for the site and wanted to say hello, especially since I'll probably continue making a lot of use of this great site. I recently purchased a 1990 B190 (1989 chassis) in relatively wonderful condition. It has a 460cu in 7.5L V8. The van's already perfo...

Take a look here for definitions of caster, camber, and toe-in. Toe in, briefly, is setting the tires so their leading edges point slightly toward each other (from the linked page). There's a diagram on the page that helps a lot. Also mentioned on the page is how if the toe-in isn't set correctly di...

I added a scan of my 1991 brochure into the Downloads section. It indicates the standard stove was a 2 burner model and the four burner was optional. Also by the wording, it implies that the 2 burner stove doesn't have an oven - seriously, it does not list an oven in the standard equipment, but does...

Differences between the years of campers...and bed sizes
We should document the differences between the years. I'd like to write it up as an article when we get the information compiled, and add pictures. This is a long term project, obviously. :) Corrections, additional information, please post below! Everyone can contribute to this one. :) 1989 - 1999 -...

I found the B190 aircraft! :)
The Beechcraft 1900 ICAO code is the B190.
No sleeping arrangements, though - well, unless you can sleep in a cramped airline seat.
I flew in one of these from Denver, CO to Pierre, SD, and back, last August.

Re: Off the road!
1. I passed another B-van headed the other way on I-70 on my way east through Kansas (or maybe Missouri... they look about the same to me). It's always kind of surprising to me to see another one of these vans. I think in the 3 years I've owned mine, I've seen 3 or 4 other ones. Do you feel the sam...

You know, I've been wondering something similar, and here are my feelings: 1. The 460 engine is an incredibly well-designed engine and they tend to last forever, or close to it. 2. The transmissions are good until they fail (as you've discovered) but if you put a decent one in it and take care of it...

Update: I've seen several places recommend these fridge cooling fans, and they always seem to recommend they have the temperature sensor on them. I think the idea is that the fan will run only when it's TRULY necessary, not all the time. I've bypassed the temperature sensor on mine, and I plan to st...

This is really good information, thanks Alaskan and Skater. We read on other forums that when on the road, 12V is best for the refrigerator. But thanks to this forum we see that it's not the only way. We will use the propane, as that seemed the most efficient to start with. This is all a learning e...
