I struggled with this problem on every fillup. Finally I had my local propane dealer make a 45 degree adapter that screws on and off the threaded filler. It can be positioned at various angles, even straight out from the tank and acts as an extention. It's about 6 inches in length. He charged me 30 ...

The splits in the cabinets may be happening where two boards are glued together to make a panel. Check the grain carefully. If so, you'll need to remove the panel and re-glue. Very often, the glue will dry out over time and lose its holding power. Wood in these campers are subject to very hot and co...

Thanks for all your input. I ended up with a JVC model that has Bluetooth and HD. It went in easily and the support from Crutchfield was great. I highly recommend them for upgrades. My '94 didn't have a remote amp strangely enough. The tech support @ Crutchfield said that unless the factory unit was...

Replacement stereo

I want to replace my old factory am/fm/cassette radio with a newer model that has a disc player. I've already installed new speakers that I'm very pleased with. I've shopped around for a stereo (nothing expensive)but all say the dashboard has to be modified (enlarged somewhat) to accomodate the new ...

Please look at baggydew's camper in the gallery section. (page 2) I've posted pictures of the D-seal white rubber weatherstrip attached to the access opening. Notice that the weatherstrip runs down the sides but also along the top of the access opening where the door makes contact. In the second pic...

I didn't realize that some rigs don't have a drain hole on the floor pan but in any event, my drain hole wasn't functioning properly, either because it was blocked or because the floor pan was uneven. In any case, once I put on the rubber weatherstrip around the door, I haven't seen any dampness at ...

I had this problem and found out that water was getting in around the sides of the access door. It was seeping down the inside of the door onto the floor where the fridge rests and flowing in underneath the fridge rather than down the drain hole. Had a devil of a time finding out what was happening....

Possibility for someone looking

I've located a 1995 B-190 for sale in Columbus Mississippi. The 82 year old man who owns it bought a huge Foretravel RV and hasn't used the 190 much, although he keeps it charged up and in his driveway. It's been for sale locally for some time but this is a small market and he's had few lookers. It'...

foggy yellow headlights

To polish your headlights to remove haze and yellowing, use Brasso metal polish as directed. This substance is formulated for metals such as copper but works great to restore crystal clear appearance to plastic lenses including removing scratches from watch crystals.

Found my lens cover when I got home at my local RV dealer. They had it in stock even though Diamond told me I'd probably have to contact Airstream. Years back, I bought a camper from Longview and thought they had a better Parts Dept. I think you might have to paint the cover once you find one. I jus...

Hey Weekender....I replaced mine a couple of years ago. Found the part at my local RV store but can understand you not being able to find one in Northampton. I was up there in July looking for a lens cover for my bunk light and had no luck on Rte 5 north of town, even though it's a standard item. An...

A lot of us take the grill along and get tired of steaks and burgers. Try something different with a grilled hamsteak. They are easily transported in their own sealed plastic bag. When ready for supper, open the end of the package, toss in a mix of 2 tbs honey, 1/4cup mustard, a dash of clove spice ...

Do a "Google" search for RV Bathtubs. Many sites show pictures and list various dimensions and you can compare prices on-line but shipping will be extra in most cases. They are available through many RV centers also including Camping World. You'll need the size and style. The come in both ...
