Re: Best Tires...?

I know I am reviving this thread but for me the Michelin Defender LTX 245/75-16E are my tire of choice. The new ones I put om my 94 in July are supposedly a slightly newer tire from the ones sold just a year or so ago. I only replacing the Michelins on it because they were 9 years old. They probably...

Re: And what did you do or still doe for a living ?

I have always like playing with things that had a engine. At 18 I got a job at a Cottman Transmission as a installer. They saw something in me and let me built my first transmission a year latter. Between my engineering ability, photographic memory and the ability to be able to actually turn a wrenc...

Four things on the generator that will cause it to die when releasing the start switch. Low oil, Bad low oil sensor, bad regulator or worn brushes. You need a manual for the genset to properly diagnose it.

Re: Whats it worth?

I don't know why this thread died in 2017 but for me it is worth every penny I have spent keeping her in perfect operating condition. When I started looking for a B class the Airstream was the only one that had a big block power plant and best chasses, Ford. You aren't going to clime a mountain in a...

Re: Any Photos of 1997+ upper bed

To skaters conundrum, the 40" measurement is of the 72" X 40" couch. I want to convert my 97 to the late 98 up specs. If someone could give me the measurement from the slide out to the spot under the cabinets where it stops so I know how deep I have to go. Also the sizes of the two sm...

Re: Refrigerator lighting up but not cooling

On the fridges if your fridge is on the right and the front of the B is over 20*+ tilt, the fridge will not work correctly. Same with it on the left but it would be the rear down. You need to get the vehicle level and let the fridge sit off for 8 hours to allow the liquid to settle back where it bel...

Re: Replacing 1997+ toilet with compost toilet

I'm with 190-b-651. I was kind of laughing my ass off reading this one too. This is solely just my opinion but why would I struggle peeing in a bottle and pooping in a bag when I can relax and read a magazine in the perfect privacy of my fully self-contained house on wheels! I might be considered a ...

I found it! Underneath all the overkill solar equipment in the back right corner of the B is a door with a red label that says BATTERY COMPARTMENT.

Re: Fuel mileage

I get a minimum of 300 miles to the tank. But I usually put a maximum of 30 to 32 gallons per fill up so I'm not emptying the tank. My fuel mileage varies between 10 and 12 Mi to the gallon depending on how fast I'm driving on the highway. 10 miles per gallon around 75 and 12 miles to the gallon at ...
