Re: A sad goodbye
As we have all said, thank you for posting the images and offering more information as you learn it. So many good reminders are being shared and this is the time of year when we all tend to use our vans. Interesting point about the big top actually being helpful as it hit first. I am amazed there wa...

Re: A sad goodbye
Very sorry to hear of the news and so glad neither of you were hurt. It is a reminder of our top heavy vans--they do create their own hazard. Phew, certainly reminds me to take it easy, check tires, and, in the end, a profound reminder that none of us has ultimate control. A very scary story, but th...

Re: Premium fuel
Thanks for the replies and the link to the article, Skater, a helpful read. I added premium the first time just to see if it would make a difference and I was struck by the pulling improvement going uphill. I have a '96 with the 460 cu inch. I am also wondering if the big BFG tires and rims and the ...

Premium fuel
I am curious if anyone has been using high test/premium fuel [92/93 octane] rather than regular/87 octane. About five months ago, I switched to high test and have found it makes a big difference in climbing power. Since the big beast is not my daily driver the extra cost is not that significant rela...

Re: Adding an external enclosure to the awning
Thank you for the replies, I was afraid as much. I may try and work with someone locally and see what we can drum up over the spring. I really appreciate the $20 option!

Adding an external enclosure to the awning
Hello all, I am planning on adding an enclosure that attaches to the existing awning to increase outside space. There seem to be a number of options. Something like this http://www.shadepro.net/category/RV_Screen_Rooms.html or http://camperpartsandsupplies.com/rv-awnings/rv-screen-rooms.html Has any...

Helpful photos. Scrubbed the roof and did a layer of wax with collinate this summer, but it is going to need more next year, your work is inspiring, I think, talk to me next summer

Re: Engine problems....
Oh man, what a rough story. Really sorry to hear about all the hassles. I can imagine that ambivalence---just shoot the beast or try again? I will wait for others with more experience to weigh in.
