Running with one tank out?

Post by slapthecat »

I dropped the rear tank to replace the pump, and am finding some nasty rust. What do I need to do to safely run the van for a bit off the front with the rear tank out?!? Just need to make it the 60miles and back for Biketoberfest next weekend! Then the tank will get the TLC it needs...

Follow up on this:

Nothing needs to be done!
I removed the rear tank, bagged and tied off all the hoses and electrical, zip tied them out of the way, and have been running the van like this without a problem.

Got the new pump for the rear tank, POR-15'd the outside, and am debating the POR15 Tank Sealer (there's some heavy rust inside on the top of the tank). Hmmmm….
