About to change the oil for the first time on my (new to me) ‘88 Okanagan. It’s got a rebuilt 460 fuel injected engine from 1995.
Anything weird you guys can think of I should be aware of, or will it just be a normal oil change?
In searching YouTube, I couldn’t find any videos that gave me the specs for a ‘95 460, so I’m anticipating needing about 6-7 quarts. I usually go with Mobil 1 full synthetic in all my vehicles. Looks like most videos used 5w-20. Please tell me if you think I’m way off. Any recommendations on filter brands?
Thanks guys!

Re: Oil Change Advice/tips?
I think it's 6 quarts. It's a pretty easy change, the oil filter is right in front, easily accessible, as is the drain plug. I'm pretty sure the manual for my '91 calls for 10w-30. But this says 5w-30 or 5w-20 for the '95 F350 with the 460. (Probably trying to squeeze out another 1 MPG.) I assume the E-350 would be the same.Colorado Coach wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:16 amAbout to change the oil for the first time on my (new to me) ‘88 Okanagan.
