3-week, 3,000+ Mile Trip

We just returned from an extensive trip in our B-190. Had a blast and would recommend this type of vacation for anyone that can spend the time. We specifically planned this trip around the attributes of a Class B (or perhaps small Class C) motorhome. We didn't tow anything behind us. We wanted the flexibility of going and going and going, or staying longer if we chose to. Nothing to encumber us.

We have traveled extensively in our 29 foot Airstream trailer. We really enjoy our trailer and Suburban tow vehicle but wanted this trip to be different. And it was.

Everywhere we went we had all the conveniences of home. Our food, our shower, our toilet, our TV, our bed... Yes, we ate out a bit and that was fun too but what a pleasure to have all your stuff with you regardless of where we went. There were any number of times that we looked at each other and realized a certain activity we experienced on this trip would not have happened if we were traveling in our trailer. Overall, I think we still prefer the trailer over the B190 but the gap is closing, and I mean seriously closing!

The aspect that we enjoyed most was going nearly anywhere we wanted (the van is 10' tall after all so there are some limits) and didn't have to go back to the campground at the end of the day. Our campground was anywhere we wanted it. Sometimes that was a Casino, sometimes a Cracker Barrel, sometimes a campground. In over three weeks of traveling we never paid more than $20 for a campground. Traveling with the trailer is similar but there is always the fact that we're out sightseeing during the day then have to go back to the campground. With the B190 that's not the case. Just move on down the road!

I may take time to post more about this trip but just wanted to give a shout-out to the B190 community. Thanks for all the support this forum has provided. Great place to learn.

Sounds like a fun time! It was also interesting to read your comments contrasting tow camper versus B190.

My wife and I spent a lot of time talking about those merits and demerits before we decided to buy our B190. We have had no regrets with the B190.

Thanks for posting about the trip. Great pictures!
