Blue Beacon Keeps It Looking Good!

Post by usachris »

While on the road reciently I traveled through a very large swarm of "Love Bugs" -- at least that was what the locals called them. Needless to say, my rig was a horrible sight. While looking for a place to do a quick wash, I came across a company called; Blue Beacon Truck Wash. They wash mostly those big 18 wheelers but also wash RVs of any size. It's all hand washing- with warm water ($16)- and offer a hand dry ($8) and tire dressing ($8) if you'd like. They did an amazing job for me and got me back on the road real quick.

Sorry if this sounds like a commercial but I was blown away by how nice and friendly the staff were to me. I was a bit apprehensive about using their service - since my B190 is no 18 wheeler - but I'm so glad I did.

Does anyone else have a tip to share on keeping their rig clean?

You found the easiest way to wash a elephant. Lol
I use a local truck wash here but well worth it.

Thanks! This rig is a dream come true. Best night of sleep I've had in a long time was at a rest stop in New Mexico.

What a beautiful sight. And the landscape doesn't look too bad either.
