Traveled to Alaska

On June 17th we departed Arkansas and drove Baby Huey through 8 states, canada and up the AlCan highway to Alaska. It took us 7 days because we made a side trip to Dawson city.

The B190 did a fine job, the only major issues we had the entire was a missing hub cap and broken alternator belt in Omaha Nebraska.

We averaged 600 miles a day and the little motor coach got 13 miles to the gallon. Overall we drove 6000 miles in 3 weeks.

Baby Huey, our B-190 resides in Alaska. We will fly to Alaska every year
and travel in our B-190 until we find somewhere else to go. :?

We left our B-190 in Anchorage....Also, that is the hub cap that I am looking for....If you see one of these wheel covers around let me know.

We were going to look you up when we were in Alaska, but we ran out of time....Maybe next year we can get together. :)

We're in southeast Alaska...Prince of Wales Island which is west of Ketchikan

Got a couple campsites out front on the beach if ya ever make it there...

Front or rear hubcap...?

It is the rear cap, but I think that they are all the same.
Also, we will be in Alaska again next summer....Hopefully we can make it down you way. 8)

Doug.... better get your tape out out check, I think I remember the fronts and rears being slightly different in center-cap depth

Full-floating rear axle, like we have, uses a deeper center hubcap (pictures below)

This is a rear, I can't measure a front as this is a 4x4 F350 so the fronts on this rig have the hubs sticking through.

I though I remember skater mentioning he has 3 of this style hubcap as he replaced his with the newer style...??

Laying a straight edge across this measures 3 1/8 inches

The rear has a deeper bowl (dish?) due to the insanely large hub.

The cheap Ford replica hubcaps I got off eBay are identical but deep enough to cover the hubs in the rear without a problem. They don't look out of place to me, and they've held on pretty well for a couple years now (including through the accident).

I only have 1 rear, which is what prompted the purchase of the eBay ones. I was in talks with mustangman for him to buy it but I haven't heard anything from him recently on it. Let me make sure he isn't still interested.
