Fire Danger!

Post by RobertL »

Our recently purchased b190 was improperly stored for at least a year it seems.

It seems that leaf litter and other flammable debris found its way into the bottom of the air conditioning condenser box.
Also in the bottom of this box is some electrical items (resistor) that gets very very hot.

While driving to work one day, I turned on the vent and fan and our interior filled with thick white smoke.
The condenser box was melted on the bottom.

Luckily I caught this before the whole engine compartment went up in flames.

Beware- Be careful where and how you store your vehicle and inspect under the hood and in your outside cabinets for critters and their presents.

Leafs, grass, etc can cause a lot of damage particularly if they are left on the headers or near electrical sources.
