Refreshing a 92 B190 for heavy use!

Post by 85Chevota »

I just picked up a 1992 B190 in North Carolina a few weeks ago. It has 88000 miles and came with maintenance records from day 1. I've always been into more of off-roading than RVing but I'm looking forward to mild roadtrips in this RV and more comfort for the family and dogs. All I've done so far is use it two weekends to make sure all the systems work. The first thing I added was a rear hellwig swaybar.

It has a rough idle when cold which I will need to diagnose. I also want to get new rims and tires, likely some 16x8 black rims and 267/75r16 BFG all-terrain tires. Does anyone have suggestions on rim backspacing and offset? Thanks!

Reason: Corrected links - wow, imgur has gotten really annoying about linking to images on the site!

From my end the images don't seem to be showing up. Does anyone know how to make these imgur links show the image in the post?

I corrected the links...imgur is making it harder to have the images show up on another site (which is stupid, because that's entirely what imgur was created for).

Looks like a great rig!

Nice I'll be so glad to get the carpet out of mine.
Looking good and welcome.

Very nice. Is that tile or a vinyl product on the floor?

Now I want to do the B190 couch with vinyl or leather on the seat and fabric on the back. Ripping the carpet out asap with a Coretec Plus flooring which is 100% waterproof(or so it is marketed) but, looks like wood or tile depending on the look one wants. Coretec Plus is a warm feel and gives a little. Easy to place down...supposedly a floating floor but, using an adhesive a good idea.
