Hello, new member from the before you know it, cold north, Wisconsin. Have been interested in the B190 for quite a few years and almost bought one about 5 years ago but, it was not meant to be. Trying to make the decision between a class B and C, am leaning more to the B. Am going to make a couple hour drive on Wednesday to look at a '90, '81 year old owner, w/74,000 miles, 460, new tranny, claims he used the tranny to assist w/the braking while in the mountains last year and blew out the front seal. No generator but claims everything else works and has new tires. Under $10,000 . We will see what we will see.

It not unusual to have to rebuild a transmission in the b190 its more the age than miles using gearing for a downhill grade is just smart driving if done correctly.
And a plus for you its already done thats about $2500 give or take.
And keep in mind its a used vehicle plan of fixing something I replaced exhaust manifolds right off the bat a year later transmission. I did get i bleave every receipt ever spent on it in the airstream binder that should come with it.
Its priced right if its really clean and mechanically sound but plan on spending at least a few bucks on normal wear idems.

Yes, I plan on that. Tells me he also put in a new refrigerator at a cost of 800.00. I can always pick up a generator, it does not have one.General cost of a generator :?:

Something like $2300 new. But, that was a replacement - in your case, you'll need the wiring and a transfer switch installed, so it'll likely cost more.

Thanks, their may be some bargaining room their. I guess I was under the impression they all came w/one. Maybe the original was taken out over the years and not replaced. We shall see.

That's always a possibility. In my '91, the transfer switch was under the couch, against the wall of the camper, in an electrical box.

ImageGoing to look at the '90B on Wednesday, had a nice phone conversation w/the 81 year old owner on Saturday. The B is his 14th RV, have to believe he half way knows his stuff and takes care of them. Moving to a condo and getting old are his reasons for selling. Has had it 2 years, '90, 460ci w/74,000 miles. New tranny, blew seal using tranny to break coming down out of the mountains, new tires because it had sat in storage for a bit before he bought it, new refrigerator, 800.00 because it didn't work. List it as excellent condition in his ad, says no rust or dents. Says everything works, does not have a generator, I think I would like one. maybe the more knowledgeable B owners could glean something from the pics off the ad and give me your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I just noticed it doesn't have the oven ether.

Thanks, would not have noticed that, not a deal breaker though, for me.

We've use ours a few times it works well but the cooking choices are plentiful open fire is my favorite but not always possible. But it does give you a little more bargaining room.
