blue stripe seal
blue stripe seal
I'm trying to figure out a good way to seal the "blue stripe". I have used the flex seal tape and caulking that works for a time, but then dries out, freezes and is now failing. I do believe the blue stripe is deceiving. Does it "seal" an upper and lower half of the shell or is it purely decorative? I have a '94 with a bit of a leak and hard to find the source.

I believe the blue trim covers the seam where the two halves of the top were joined.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they added fiberglass inside, making the seam hard to see on the inside.
