My bathtub makes a rather loud squeaking noise when I get in or lean against the sides.
It started off as a very minor squeak, but now it is rather loud.
I haven't removed the side panels yet. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
What could be the cause of a squeaking noise in my bathtub?

Welcome to this great forum. Let the mouse out and the squeak will go away. Seriously, I would review the plumbing category on this site. There were some posts a while back about bathtub issues. Also, would help to identify what year you have, as the tubs changed over time. I think most of us probably do not use the tub except for storage, but I could be wrong.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hey there,
Under your tub are a lot of wooden braces. The fiberglass may be simply rubbing against some of this wood and causing the squeak. It is not very difficult to remove the tub if you have concern.
