My toliet ran over in the night!

Post by LarryMarty »

I went camping for the first time this weekend. My sewer hose was too short to reach the connection, so I just hooked to the water and used my holding tanks.

When I got up...my camper was litterally soaked...every space on the floor and in the cabinets. I figured out pretty quickly that the toliet had been running all night.....very slowly....but my tank filled up and the toliet ran over.

After a very long clean up.... ((and even after 3 days it's not completely dry in some places)).......I flushed to check it out. The handle simply doesn't come up all the way unless I pull it up. What a simple thing to cause such a serious problem.

I'm sure it's repairable, but haven't looked into it.

.....just a note....
it was just water....so my carpet got a free cleaning! ha ha ..... I used a wet vac to remove the water...and have several Damp Rids in there right now to get the rest.
