Propane system components

Post by skater »

The tank used (in all years, I think) is the Manchester #6814 10" X 32". The pictures of the tank given on seller's websites usually do not show the correct tank, but if you look at the drawing on Tweety's site you'll see the correct dimensions, including the brackets on each end.
  • This tank has a capacity of 5.5 gallons of propane, or about 23.1 lbs. This is slightly more than a standard 20 lb BBQ grill tank, for reference.
  • It will only fill to about 80% of capacity, to allow for expansion. That works out to about 4.4 gallons (or 18.5 lbs).
The gauge that will report to the panel inside is the Manchester G12846.
