Yup..... it's ours now...

Did I over pay? Maybe but as you know these are kind of rare and getting harder to find. In my mind a good deal is when both the buyer and the seller walk away happy, and you can't put a price on happiness. In this case we drove away happy.

Cheers!

It looked like a pretty decent rig, in good condition and all. It's REALLY hard to estimate the value of these given the wide range of conditions and how few of them exist, but I don't think you overpaid. Besides, if it makes you happy and you get a lot of use out of it, you won't mind the expense. :)

Airstreams are weird. I'm pretty sure B190s were selling for less on average when I bought mine (~2005) than they are now.

If it's in as good of condition as it looks, you did great!
Two years ago I found a '90 that I bought for $7.5K, which seemed like a great deal based on prices at the time. Since then I've put a few thousand into it (extensive unseen water damage, exterior paint damage, intermittent appliances, etc...) and an UNREAL amount of personal time (just ask my girlfriend!). There's no way I could have afforded to pay someone for the amount of work that's been done, and I still have quite a bit to do - the generator is in pieces in my living room as I type!
Keep up your preventative maintenance and enjoy the hell out of it! It's worth every penny!!!

A great rig and a great price! TLC was present in all the pics. I'd buy it from you for the same price :-) The memories in your rig for you and your family.....absolutely priceless. My bride and 9 year old son have had a blast in our rig since we bought it last year. You only live once my friend :-). Enjoy!

Slapthecat, Seaquinn, Skater

Thanks for the reassurance on our rig, we are more than pleased with the purchase. The price we paid is relative to supply and demand, and as all B190 owners know you can't put a price on happiness, right?

Everything appears to be clean and all systems are in good working order, even the 13 year old tires looked great (they have been replaced). The previous owner was a mechanic and his pride of ownership can be seen through out the rig. The camper was never parked outside unless it was being used, so the exterior shines like new.

We look forward to making many good memories with our New B ( this is what Carol has been calling the camper)

I am so happy to have found this forum, it is such a wonderful resource for a new owner, thanks again to all who have blazed the trail and posted their experiences and answers to questions. I see no reason why we wouldn't be able to get many more useful years of life out our New B , with proper maintenance and updating older systems as required.

Cheers!
