Looking for a 1997 or newer B190

Post by tothetrail »

This site is awesome. I own a 1999 Bigfoot 29G now and I love it. I am looking for a 1997 or newer Airstream B190. I am in Southern California and would love to find one within 1000 miles but would consider driving any distance for the right one.

Welcome to the site!

Did you see the 1997 that's on RV Trader now? (Scroll down and watch the left side.) Unfortunately you just missed a '99 on eBay that looked pretty nice and had a good price. But keep your eyes open; you'll find one. If you haven't already, take a look at the sticky'd post in the For Sale forum - it has a couple suggestions on places to search for them.

Thanks Skater. I see the '93, '95. and the '96 on RV Trader, however, I couldn't find the '97. ***Edit, I see that RV Trader Online is different from RV Trader. Now I see the link you are referring to, I'll check it out.

I did see that I missed out on that '99 in Oceanside, CA on eBay. It doesn't look like it sold, so hopefully they will put it back up.

I'm trying to find out how I can tell what model would have the highest towing capacity. I hope to tow an aluminum enclosed trailer which, when fully loaded could weigh close to 5000 lbs. from what I can tell, mostly from researching this fine site, is that it seems like the '97 or later model with the V10 will provide the best chance.

Though I can't answer your question about which would be best for your towing situation, if you ever make it down to San Diego you're more than welcome to try out my '93 with a 460 engine. But it's not for sale. :)

I am the second owner of a 1999 B190 in excellent condition. It has 28,800 miles. 46 hours on the generator. See my ad on Craigslist, Northern Virginia, under RV's. I am asking $21,900.

If you want more info, call me at: 703-405-2343. Thanks...Ralph
