Floor Mats

Post by Mark »

Would the floor mats (driver and passenger) for any Ford F350 work in my 97 B190? We have only carpet there now and I know it's going to get dirty and ugly quickly.

make sure you get E350 mats not F350 which is a pickup truck. I think any Econline mats should fit.

I'd like to know what you ordered. I've been searching for carpeted floor mats for the driver and passenger for our 1998 and I have not found any to my liking yet.

I did order a set of clear Coverking mats from Amazon that I hope to use over the carpeted floor mats when I find a set.

The ones I got didn't give me as much coverage as I wanted.
I ordered them here.

If you have time to post a picture that would be helpful. I looked at the web site but there are several varieties of floor mats listed so I'm not sure which item you ordered.

I'll post a picture of the clear mats when I receive them later this week. I noticed Coverking makes carpeted floor mats too so if the clear ones look good I'll consider a set of carpeted mats from Coverking.

I don't have the invoice anymore so I can't tell you exactly the ones I ordered.

The material is nice but I wanted more coverage.

Yes, I see what you mean but carpeted floor mats typically are not "molded" so they only cover the relatively flat portion of the floor. In the case of an E350 the mats do not go up and over the bump created by the wheel well. I suspect the clear mats I ordered will be very similar.

A friend and former B190 owner suggested using the clear stick-on film used to protect carpet in houses during construction and realtor open houses. Apparently, big box home centers sell rolls of clear stick-on film and you cut a piece to protect the area. It doesn't last forever so you just cut another piece when needed. I may try that if the rolls are reasonably priced.

Interesting...our B190 had a rubber-ish floor covering (over the carpet) over the entire front area. We had small pieces of carpet to use as floor mats, and I always threw one on the ground for the poor guy who filled the propane tank.

I'd consider some of those heavy rubber floor mats (WeatherTech). We were always tracking in dirt, leaves, rain, snow, gravel, etc., and those would make it a lot easier to clean up. I kind of want to get some for our truck for the same reason, but it's hard to justify the cost when we already have floor mats.

In our 91 I installed some trim to fit rubber mats. When we bought the 93(newer body style) they did not fit as well. So, if ordering, make sure its for 92 or newer if you have the range of B190.

Ikea sells a navy and black striped floor mat for 99¢. I bought 3 and cut them to fit the drivers and passenger side and the third fits perfectly in between the seats. Not fancy but for $3 you can't beat it.

I think you may be out of luck, can't find them for the 2nd gen either, they are readily available for 97 and newer which doesn't help either of us!!!
