B190 Enthusiasts

When first purchasing my B190 I noticed the rear windows would not open. After chatting with another B190 owner they had the same problem. I figured out that there was a screw placed into the window latch, I'm assuming by Airstream. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to open the rear windows but I just removed the screw and it operates fine now. The first time I opened the window it took a while just because the seal was sticking to the window since I'm sure that was the first time it was opened since it was new. I hope this helps if anyone was wondering why the rear windows didn't open.

On my 1999, it seems Airstream took it further. Only the forward-most double side door window opens. All the other side and rear door windows are bolted to their frames, with no hinges or latches remaining. I'm pretty sure this was part of the original Airstream (Thor) conversion (for my unit, anyway).

Our 1998 is the same - only the larger of the side doors has an operable window. The others don't have a hinge or any means of opening them.

I think one reason for the rear windows is the road fumes (exhaust) come in and they might be afraid of carbon monoxide problems
