1962 Triumph TR4. We bought our Airstream specifically for vintage racing. Because I tow, I have learned much and have been able to contribute to other forums, including threads regarding increasing the towing ability.

Nice had a 68 sprite my dad friend's sparked that he had a early 60's triumph with a Chrysler 318 in it. It just took one ride and I was hooked.
Have fun

You say that the captains chairs bolt nicely to the existing base. Does this mean you retain the adjustability of the base or is that part of the seat itself. Did you get heated seats or lumbar support etc when you bought the seats?

The new seats fully recline and swivel. We added the seat warmers (I just discovered I have yet to wire them in), but no lumbar supports. We also got dual armrests. They attached perfectly to the existing bases with all the holes lining up properly.

One note I will make is that when they ship them, they do so fully reclined. It took a little work to figure out how to bring them upright (without the base as support) as I was afraid of breaking something. Once I got the first one, the second one was much easier.

Here is why we did it.

Oldbagpipe,

Were your new replacement seats (or at lest the driver's seat) originally motorized?

If so, were the new seats plug & play for that?

Thanks

No. Original seats were manual, as are the new ones. You'll have to call them on that, sorry.

If im not mistaken you use the original pedestals so you will still have electric even if your having issues the motors are available and fairly cheap.

Hi, new owner here of a 1998 B190. My driver powered seat is not working properly as if one of the motors is not working. You mention the motors are cheap. Where can you get them?

You'll need the number off the motor and make do a goggle search. But im guessing you can find it at (mouser electronics) they have anything you can imagine and more...

Thank you, it's fun and different from all the rest. We liken ourselves to the Sesame Street song "...One of these campers is not like the others..."

Hello Oldbagpipe,

Would you provide the model names and/or SKU#s of the seats and the jack knife?

They look great. Are they holding up well?

Thanks!

My apologies, I did not see your request until now. Hopefully this helps. I've found some more and posted it on the next page.
