pics of new sink

Post by mickle »

Finally got rid of that original double sink that was so hard to wash large items in. Replaced it with a Whitehaus WHND1913-BSS from Amazon.

It fits existing counter top hole even though it is a bit smaller in width. Unfortunately, old sink left some scratch marks around the counter a bit.

Had to redo some of the abs plumbing lines behind and under the sink for final install but wasn't too hard.

Love the look!

I might do the same thing to my '93.

My faucet probably needs to be replaced soon.

Any recommendations for a faucet and sprayer?

Thanks

Love this! Makes me wish I had the double sink!

If you want to upgrade the counter to hide the scratches, I found a product called Simple Mat at Home Depot. It’s a fiberglass infused paper that sticks to the counter. Easy to cut & fit to the space (I eye-balled it, while my friend painstakingly measured). The top has lines of rubbery glue, like when you get a debit or gift card. You’re supposed to be able to place tiles, rearrange, and press them into the glue to finalize layout. We found the tiles sucked onto the glue. I had sprained my left thumb in a fall and have 10 stitches in my right thumb, so I didn’t want to risk a cut or injury on my remaining fingers. I just accepted uneven grout lines. I’m about to post my pics.

I bought this product years ago, shortly after getting the van. Then I found this video using basically the same concept, but using adhesives on both sides of the paper. The Simple Mat comes with adhesive on both sides, but I bought tile adhesive to finish the bullnose. It didn’t stick as well, due to curves of the tile and counter.
