Through the span of 10 years that Airstream built the B190 vans we've seen 3 attempts at tables...
1990 thru 1996 had a table with a center post that plugged into the floor and the table had a slider so you could move it toward the couch to walk by it... ( pictures to follow )
1997 & 1998 had the T-shaped table that attached to the fold-down arm rest in the center of the couch and was supported by a triangular round metal rod arrangement...
(Pictures to come tomorrow, pre 1997)
1997/1998....
Those little round wood pieces on the bottom of the table fit into the cup holder on the center fold-down arm rest in the couch
Then in 1999 they came up with this where the table attaches to the top of two opened cupboard doors.....no way to walk by this

1989 table
In 1989 the table has a center post that plugs into the floor and has a slider to allow passage to the rear.

And that is why we all eat outiside or....
Most of us just eat on a picnic table outside.
Pretty much any table design will be limited by the space or lack therof we have in the van.
My original table is in spiffy condition- testament to how useless it is.

That's not always possible when you're camping in bad weather or winter cold.RobertL wrote:Most of us just eat on a picnic table outside.

Re: Tables....
I like the looks of the table that slides on the doors of the lower cabinet.
Where you do you store it when not needed?
Does it fasten down underneath or tend to tip or are the slides long enough to keep it from tipping?

Re: Tables....
There is a long narrow shelf with a flip down door - under the couch - that the table top slides into for storage. Here is a pic:
Overall it is very stable when placed on top of the doors and does not tip in the slightest.Christopher Salazar
