Diesel

Post by B190fan »

Anyone ever see one of the few diesel Airstream 190s? Its interesting that diesel was an option on the first couple of model years and not on the late 1990s models when diesel light trucks had become more desirable. I'm guessing that the demand was low for the diesel option because the diesel engine was more expensive. I've heard good things about the post-1996 Triton V10 gas engine being powerful but still getting good gas mileage. Another reason for no diesel option I guess.

one of the big drawbacks with the diesel was weight. The B190 is pushing weight limits even with the 460.
