Camping Season Start-up Checklist ;)

Post by SeaQuinn »

Howdy ;) I used the great posts on winterizing for my B190. Now it's time to get the rig ready to roll for this season. Does anybody here have a B190 checklist that documents the seasonal start up process? The B190 Owner's Manual is a wee bit sparse on those details. I just want to make sure I don't miss anything this year. Thanks!

RV PRE SEASON STARTUP ACTIVITIES

Here's my list of pre season startup activities. This is by no means comprehensive. My B190 spends the winter in a limestone cave where the temperatures never get below 60 degrees so I perform no winterization activities in the fall and only an abbreviated set of startup activities. I hope this helps.

Things I have the local Ford dealership perform:
Change oil and filter
Change fuel filter
Lube chassis
Perform road worthiness check
Inspect brake pads and bearings
Rotate tires 80psi rear, 65psi front, 80psi spare
Replace wipers
Check hoses and belts
Put under hood batteries on tester

Things I have the local RV dealership perform:
Change generator oil, check voltage output and operation
Change Everpure water filter
Clean water pump sand filter
Check solar panel attachment to roof
Fill propane tank

Things I perform prior to going to the RV dealership in case I need something fixed
Sanitize and fill the water tank
Drain the grey and black waste tanks after water sanitization process
Check dump valves to insure proper operation
Check propane systems for proper operation
Check refrigerator operation in all three modes 12v, gas, electricity
Check water heater operation
Check heater operation
Check stove operation
Check AC operation
Check Fantastic fan operation
Check DC fuses
Check in-house batteries to insure they are properly secured
Note: I have three 100AH AGM batteries in the coach. 1 under couch, 2 under stove
Lube door hinges

I hope this helps.
