replacing 12V bulbs un cabinets and above bunk

Post by babsy »

hi,
Looking to replace using LED lights. I need to replace 5 bulbs...I'm assuming I'm need 1141 12V LED replacement bulbs, right? I got the 1141 off the old standard bulbs. I found some on Amazon that were $8.99 each but this seems very inexpensive as every body said the LED are really expensive. The description on line is:
Waterproof Ba15s Bayonet Base 16 SMD 3528 LED Bulb Warm White 12 Volt AC/Dc

Would this fit?

Thanks
Barb

Welcome to the B190 world! That price is not out of line. I bought the replacement LEDs at this link (http://www.ledtrailerlights.com/rv-inte ... 1-24ww.htm) back in January of 2010, and the price has now dropped to $8.95--a lot less than I paid. Mine are still working perfectly now, 6 years later.

I took a different approach to upgrading the lights to LEDs. I decided to replace the fixtures above the couch, under the bunk and in the bathroom to Thin-Lite LED312-1 (cost approximately $35 each) and the one in front of the AC with a Thin-Lite 652 LED (approximately $75). The old fixtures were showing their age and just decided to replace rather the upgrade. They are easily installed and look great.

Some good ideas above. I wanted to throw in that I've replaced many of the bulbs in our trailer from led4rv.com, and we've been pretty happy.

I just installed these: https://tinyurl.com/y8zqkpp5

New generation 12-24v !Super Bright Low Power !5 x 650 Lumens 1156 1141 1003 3014 54smd Led Light bulb Use for Back Up Reverse Lights,Brake Lights,Tail Lights,Rv lights White

I got them on Amazon for $14.95 for a pack of five. Easy to install and a very nice, bright white light. They will replace the 1411 dome light bulbs. Lifespan: 20000 working hours. Too bad they are not sold in a pack of seven - since that is how many bulbs I needed to replace.
