Does anyone have a used more detailed Ford van manual?

Post by Minniemouse »

Our 1993 B190 was purchased in Sept. Of course it needs alot of maintanence. We are trying to do our own work on the van and have hit a glitch. Our Ford repair manual has nothing on the A/C system problem. Ford must have a more detailed repair manual? Anyone have one or know where we can get a used one?

I have a Chiltons for it, but it doesn't cover the A/C. Mostly because you're supposed to be a certified tech to work on A/C systems.

There was a thread over on Ford Truck Enthusiasts about it a while back but I can't find it now. Basically it was saying that it's not that hard to work on it yourself; you just need a certified shop to test it and fill it.

I bought a copy of the 1991 Ford service manuals off eBay. The set I bought was about $90 with shipping. I saw others for less, but they were in poorer shape. Presumably they will contain A/C information. :)
