B190 Bunk dimensions

Post by JellyBean »

Hi, I'm looking to buy a B190 but concerned I won't be able to use the raised bunk sleep area. I recently tried getting into / out of the raised bunk in a Coachmen and it was too small for me (I'm 6' tall).

What are the length, width, and height (mattress to roof) measurements for a B190? Does anyone know how these dimensions differ for different year models?

Thanks in advance.

This post has the lengths and widths.

I'd have to measure the height, which I can't do at the moment, as my ceiling is out of it. Hopefully someone else can jump in.

Hi AkSled, did you get that done? If not, do you still need photos? I can provide some from my '96 if you'd like!

I just looked through dozens of pictures and couldn't find one of that part of the bed...surprising! The construction of it is simple - it's just a piece of particleboard with a footboard mounted vertically on the end that faces into the camper. If you can't find the dimensions, the width of the board is the width of the boards that don't move, and the length is the distance from the boards that don't move to where the foot board would drop into the "notch" when fully opened. After you see one, you'll see how simple it is. I'll try to get pictures of mine but I'm not sure how long that will take.

Mine is a plywood sheet, maybe 1/4" with the oak facing board screwed to it by a 1"x1" "board." The leading edge has been cut or sanded at an angle to allow it to push forward easily. My bed is two linked 4-inch Thermarests with mated Cabela's outfitter 20-degree sleeping bags, and the foot of the bags and pads just fold under as I push in the bed, in case you're wondering what you're seeing in the pictures.

Ok, ty. That helps, trying to get the edge part right to slide on and when fully extended, it's the same ht as stationary part of bed
