Box located on roof between ac and fan

I recently purchased a 1996 B190. I am replacing the ceiling and notices power going to a box located on the roof. It is located between the ac and roof fan. Can someone tell me its purpose?

Prewire for solar power. Normally it's not hooked up at the 12 volt panel, but someone might have thought that was a mistake.
