Mounting spare to the front

Would there be adequate airflow to the engine if the spare was mounted on the front? I'd install a front receiver and bracket. I have a cargo tray & bike rack I'd rather mount on the back the rig. Break into small groups and discuss :)
Thx

Mounting spare to the front

I had a front hitch receiver installed with a cargo tray for my portable generator and other stuff that can be stored outside rather than take up room in the van. As long as you don't block the lights or a large percentage of the air flow I believe it would be OK.

You can mount the cargo/bike carrier on the rear using the current receiver hitch. You can buy an extension for your hitch so that the spare has clearance and remains in place. I do this with my current bike rack that uses the receiver.
