Thermostat on rear wall?

It's the thermostat for the furnace (only).

Slide the switch on the bottom to the right, then adjust the temperature.

The furnace takes a minute or so to kick on after it's triggered. Then after you flip the switch to off, the fan will run for another 30-60 seconds to cool off the furnace before it shuts down as well.
