Thermostat on end of cabinets above couch?

This controls the Fantastic Vent in the ceiling.

It will turn on the fan to try to cool the camper to whatever temperature you set.

However in mine the thermostat was not functioning correctly, so I bypassed it and now just control the vent via the speed settings on the fan itself.
