1997-2000 electrical hook up....

The cord end is a twist-lock...that piece and the receptical on the van are both common marine related pieces.

This is a long term project, obviously. :) Corrections, additional information, please post below! Everyone can contribute to this one. :)

1989 - 1999 - What changed?

Exterior, top:
In 1989 the top had two windows that were square.
In 1990 that changed to a single large window with rounded corners

In 1997 they shortened the front of the top.
Been in the market for a B190 for a couple of months now and trying to figure out which year I want to look for.... Does this mean that the actual bed/sleeping area was shortened as well? I know at least on the '93 (which is one I'm considering right now) the sleeping area over the cab was measured as 72" x 76". Wondering if this was shortened in '97....

From what I've heard, it was not. If that's true, I'm not sure how they did it - the slide portion must be longer and the upper cabinets farther back. Hopefully someone with a '97 or later can chime in and help. (I've wondered the same thing.)

Well, if it wasn't then I'm back to square one as far as which year to look for! :) Although I wonder if on the earlier models the view to the sky is blocked considerably having the upper cab there... Anyway, thanks for the info skater.

While driving, you mean? There's some blockage, yeah, but on the other hand I've never needed the sun visors. :)

Haha! Good point! Has having the longer cab above you ever been an invonvenience for you?

Nope. It's actually kind of nice both for the sun thing and the fact that it keeps some rain off the windshield (you still need windshield wipers, but not as much). One downside: bugs get under the overhang and you just know they're going to splatter instead of going overhead as they sometimes do in cars.

If anything, it's kind of nice to have it there as a reminder that I'm driving a vehicle that's 10' tall.

dirrerences between the years of campers...Bed Sizes

Post by bobbyv »

Good morning, my 99 upper bed size is as follows, width 65", depth is 37" and up to 77" when expanded outward. Probably the same for 97 & 98.

Bobbyv - are you sure about the 77" upper width when fully expanded? That varies from Alaskan's measurement of 55" max. If so, that is new information and should be noted.

Hello RCR, Yes the dimensions are confirmed. From the drivers side to the passenger width is 65", from the front window rearward to the edge of the non-extended bed is 37", when fully extended from the front window rearward to the edge is right at 77". Hope this helps.

Thanks for the confirmation BobbyV. So then the extension is actually longer than the fixed portion by 3 inches. It must extend past the front of the fixed portion when stored?

That's good to know that there is no loss of length and the width is only 6 inches of loss...and that is made up for in a larger lower bed....my dw is always complaining about the large gap between the lower bed and wall...we actually bought one of those pool noodles to shove in there.

We are considering moving purchasing a newer model for the wet bath but have been hesitant because our family of
5 are already packed in pretty good as it is - we don't want to lose precious sleeping area.
